Owner of Elevate Physio
Advanced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist: Tier 3
Celia grew up in Golden Bay, then moved to Dunedin to study Physio at Otago University in 2007. She completed her Physiotherapy degree and started working at Invercargill Hospital in 2011. This is where she discovered her passion for the area of Pelvic Health. Celia then moved with my partner (now husband) to Australia to pursue further training, where she worked in private practice Physiotherapy while completing her Post-Graduate Certificate in Continence and Women's Health at Curtin University in Perth. After leaving Adelaide in 2016 she had a wonderful 6 months travelling before moving to Nelson.
During her time working as a Physiotherapist Celia has treated people through all life stages including pregnancy, post-natal recovery, mastitis care, menopause, osteoporosis, pre- and post-operative care. As a qualified Pilates instructor she is experienced in teaching pregnancy, post-pregnancy and rehabilitation classes.
Celia loves supporting people at all stage of their life to optimise their pelvic and overall health. It is such a privilege to be part of the support crew to improve bladder and bowel problems, reduce pelvic pain, improve sexual health, stay active during pregnancy, returning to sport post after having a baby or improve your performance so you can enjoy your life, your way!
Outside of Physiotherapy Celia loves to go for adventures with her family, ride her mountain bike, run around the beautiful trails in Nelson, go tramping and read a good book. She love to learn new activities and has dabbled in CrossFit, played hockey, competed in equestrian and multisport - so fun!
Celia is proud to have started Elevate Physio with the goal of providing high quality pelvic health Physiotherapy to the Nelson-Tasman community and beyond.
